(Bexar County, TX) -- The San Antonio Express News reports that a woman and her young son were killed last night in a head-on collision in far north Bexar County. The 42-year old woman and her 7-year old son were inside a Mercedes sedan in the 28-thousand 6-hundred block of Blanco Road around 7:30 last night when an oncoming Acura sedan tried to pass another vehicle, and crashed into the Mercedes head-on. The 18-year old driver of the Acura was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the 42-year old mother died at the scene, and her 7-year old son died at University Hospital a short time later. Both were reportedly wearing their seat belts.
