Omar G. Alvarez
Born & reared in South Texas, Omar G. Alvarez is a 2004 St. Mary's University School of Law graduate. He graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 1999, with High Honors, with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. Being the only college graduate in his family, Mr. Alvarez started his legal career in 2001 when he began attending law school at St. Mary's University School of Law. After his first year of law school, he began clerking for a respected personal injury law firm in San Antonio and remained there throughout his second and third years of law school. After obtaining his law license in 2004, Mr. Alvarez was employed as a San Antonio injury lawyer with that law firm for approximately two years where he assisted in recovering over $30 million in lawsuit settlements. His passion and love for justice led Mr. Alvarez to form his own firm mid-September 2006. Mr. Alvarez humbly received the honor of being named a "Rising Star: For 2007" by Law and Politics Magazine. A San Antonio injury lawyer, he spoke about and delivered a presentation on Department of Transportation Regulations at the 2007 Continuing Legal Education "Prosecuting and Defending a Trucking Case" Seminar in San Antonio, Texas, as well as the 2008 Texas Advanced Paralegal Seminar. Currently, Mr. Alvarez is actively involved in the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and in the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association where he is on the Board of Directors. He is also presently involved in initializing a student chapter at St. Mary's University School of Law for the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.
